Are your technicians licensed?

How long does a hot water tank normally last?
Typically 8 to 12 years. If you're running out of hot water sooner than usual, seeing rust-coloured water, or hearing popping sounds from the tank, it's near the end. Tankless systems generally last 15 to 20 years and use less energy — often a smart upgrade when a tank is due.
Why are some rooms colder than others?
